5. Subscription Plans and Free Trial
5.1 Subscription Plans
RiskLink offers various subscription plans with different features, usage limits, and pricing. Current subscription options and pricing are available on our website.
5.2 Free Trial Period
New users may be eligible for a one-month free trial of the Service. The free trial:
- Is available once per user/organization
- Provides access to specified features as detailed on our website
- Automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends
- May be modified or discontinued at our discretion
- Is subject to eligibility verification and may be revoked for abuse or violation of these Terms
5.3 Trial Cancellation
You may cancel your free trial at any time during the trial period without charge by managing your subscription through your account settings or contacting support@risk-link.co.uk.
5.4 Subscription Activation
If you do not cancel before the end of your free trial, you will automatically be charged for the subscription plan you selected, and your subscription will continue on a recurring basis.
6. Fees, Payment, and Billing
6.1 Subscription Fees
By subscribing to the Service, you agree to pay all applicable fees for your selected subscription plan. All fees are:

- Exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
- Subject to change with 30 days' notice
6.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, Stripe. By providing payment information, you:

- Agree to Stripe's terms and conditions and privacy policy
6.3 Recurring Billing
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) until cancelled. You will be charged:

- Using the payment method on file
6.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We will attempt to process payment using updated payment information if provided
- Your access to the Service may be suspended until payment is received
- We may terminate your subscription after repeated failed payment attempts
- You remain liable for all unpaid fees
6.5 Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and governmental charges (including VAT) except those based on our net income. If we are required to collect or pay taxes, they will be charged to you.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

7.2 Effect of Cancellation
Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to the Service until the end of the paid period
- Automatic renewal will be disabled
- No further charges will be made
7.3 No Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you will not receive a refund for:
- The current billing period
- Any partial period of non-use
- Any unused features or services
- Early cancellation of an annual subscription
7.4 Refund Exceptions
Refunds may be provided at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances, including:

- Billing errors or duplicate charges

7.5 EU/UK Consumer Rights

- Potential for Errors: AI may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information
- No Human Review: AI-generated content may not be reviewed by human experts before delivery
- Not a Substitute for Professional Advice: AI Content should not replace professional risk management, security consultation, or expert advice
9.2 Information Accuracy
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
While we strive to provide accurate and useful information, we make no representations or warranties regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI Content
- The suitability of AI Content for any particular purpose
- The timeliness or currency of information provided
- The absence of errors, omissions, or defects in AI Content
Risk situations can change rapidly. Information that was accurate when generated may become outdated quickly.
9.3 User Responsibility
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Verifying all AI-generated information independently before relying on it
- Evaluating the suitability of AI Content for your specific circumstances
- Making your own risk assessments and security decisions
- Consulting with qualified professionals when necessary
- Taking appropriate precautions for your safety and security
- Any decisions or actions taken based on AI Content
9.4 No Guarantee of Safety
USE OF OUR SERVICE DOES NOT GUARANTEE:
- Your safety or security in any situation
- Accurate prediction of risks or threats
- Prevention of harm, loss, or damage
- Complete or comprehensive risk coverage
Travel and business activities inherently involve risks that cannot be fully predicted or prevented.
10. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service, including all software, content, designs, logos, trademarks, and technology, is owned by or licensed to RiskLink and is protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

10.3 AI-Generated Reports
Reports generated by the Service based on your User Data are provided for your use. However:
- The underlying AI technology and algorithms remain our property
- We retain the right to use anonymized, aggregated insights to improve the Service
- You may not redistribute or resell AI-generated reports without our permission

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISKLINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Personal injury, death, or property damage arising from use of the Service
- Any damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account or data

WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
13.4 Maximum Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RiskLink, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Your User Data or any content you submit
- Any decisions or actions you take based on AI-generated content
- Your negligence or willful misconduct
This indemnification obligation survives termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.
15. Service Availability and Modifications
